The hands that tend
the garden.
A place where play, connection, curiosity and possibility are given room to grow. 🌱

Hello, I'm Flick.
Hello, I'm Flick (Felicity) — educator, play advocate, lifelong learner, creative thinker and firm believer that some of the most important things in life begin with play.
For more than 25 years, I have worked alongside children, families, educators and communities across early childhood education, primary education, inclusion, playgroups, mentoring and community-based practice.
And after all those years of learning, teaching, observing, questioning, creating and getting wonderfully messy alongside children, one belief continues to grow:
"Play is where children rehearse life."
When children play, they experiment. They imagine. They negotiate. They problem-solve. They take risks, make mistakes, try again, build relationships and discover what they are capable of.
Sometimes play is loud. Sometimes it is quiet. Sometimes it involves mud, sticks, cardboard boxes, paint, loose parts, enormous ideas — and absolutely no resemblance to what the adult thought was going to happen!
And that is part of its magic.
Spaces where play can unfold naturally.
At Play is For Everything, I want to create spaces where children, families and educators can feel supported, inspired and confident to let play unfold naturally.
I believe children deserve time, space and permission to play — and adults deserve support to understand just how powerful those seemingly ordinary moments can be.
Children don't all grow in straight lines. Neither do gardens. 🌱
Some things shoot up quickly.
Some take their time.
Some need support.
Some surprise us by appearing somewhere completely unexpected.
But given the right conditions, there is extraordinary potential for growth.
Because the capacities developed through play don't disappear when childhood ends.
They grow with us. 🌻
And that is why I believe...
Play is For Everything.
What we believe, in our bones.
Relationship First
Before technique or protocol, the therapeutic relationship is the intervention. Everything else is scaffolding.
Developmental, Not Deficit
We see behaviour as communication, not as a problem to extinguish. Growth follows understanding.
Evidence-Guided
Our practice is grounded in attachment theory, neurodevelopment, and decades of play-therapy research.
